Artist's Biography
Wendelin Ray is a three-time Julia Margaret Cameron awardee, exhibiting her black-and-white digital photographs at the FotoNostrum Gallery in Barcelona. She studied art at the Moore College of Art and Design in Philadelphia and majored in sculpture at Syracuse University. Her art forms include oil painting, ink drawing, and sculpture. She was inducted into the National Association of Women Artists in New York City, served on the Board of the Media Art Council in Media, PA, and has shown in galleries and venues on both coasts.

About the Photographer
The eye of a photographer may be drawn to many things. The elegance of a surfer–or a seagull. The lines and shadows of a skyscraper. The expression on someone’s face as they see their own reflection in a store window.
Growing up with easy access to the urban and natural wonders of Philadelphia and New York City, I became focused on city and beach locations. Now, as a resident of Los Angeles County, I’m inspired by the spectacular beauty and diversity all around me– both of nature and American culture. Whether in urban or beach settings, what is more intriguing than people interacting–just being themselves, in all their individuality and quirkiness. That’s why, wherever life takes me, I always have my camera ready. Ready for that light. That composition. That moment.
